Julius Battjes

New workhorses in the industry are essential for life on Earth. I specialized in this, characterizing non-conventional yeast to use in biotech. I do so by performing both experimental and computational research. Within the lab, I characterize yeast physiology with a broad range of techniques. This information I use in a feedback loop with advanced metabolic models. Doing so, I strengthen our insights into these curious yeasts.
